A Charlie tarac Macro.
it gives you extra elevation, that one is set to 35 mils so with scope and reticle I have 70 mils.

It's adjustable as well and I set it to 70 mils and dialed another 9 mils for my 2 mile target.
Shooting two miles?!?!? Wow! I'm sure the elevation is needed.

Thanks for the explaination.

I just picked up this custom pre 64 ('52) M70 in 280 Rem at Gator's in Kelso. Wasn't looking for another bolt rifle, but couldn't pass it up this beautiful rifle. 155B3188-012C-4BEC-A59D-0B91DC1D0225.jpeg 2643B0D4-94B5-4B17-A296-9482053F6C70.jpeg C1044FF2-BAF3-4469-BB3A-FA167B66384A.jpeg 42DCEBA6-B23C-4FEA-9432-0F5F6AECC49D.jpeg 1121612C-A58A-4ADF-B353-2EF6347C6E51.jpeg B6A73E4C-F523-4D07-9B69-BF45DB9DCAB0.jpeg 710301D3-4860-4B9C-B609-F481A7070733.jpeg E54DFD07-1F19-4362-8137-7591310DB1A2.jpeg 5ADFE4B6-86A4-46DC-9F00-E970DD96B329.jpeg 36AC7567-A457-4555-9320-9AF12C1D8FCE.jpeg E2175AF1-47A4-4674-A7DC-6253503C775B.jpeg E296214D-E981-4242-8F58-268EB3255406.jpeg

These day that's an easy $10K rifle................................just LOOK at the way it's made! No Rigby today is made like that.

I just did some new stock work on my Ruger American '06. Ground out the barrel channel and decided to repaint it using the sponge method. I was going to purchase an aftermarket stock but why waste the money. I repeatedly hit a 20"×20" steel plate at 500 yards. Next upgrade is a higher magnification scope.

Kinda a "parts gun."

Old Rem 700 action thats been all trued up. Factory AAC-SD 308 Win. barrel that was cut a bit; set back and rechambered with PPG match reamer, muzzle threaded 3/4x24. Picked up a complete rifle off the classifieds here not to long ago - that rifle provided the HS Precision stock and came with Badger M5 BDM and Badger EFR. Stock is (re)bedded to this action. The muzzle was threaded 3/4x24 to use a Surefire flash hider made to fit a Knights Armament gun - don't have one of those, so made sense to make the Surefire fit here. Flash hider mounts a Surefire 762K can.

The barreled action is off to Bill Corley at the moment to have him make a few M40XM3 cuts to it and mount the lugged base and parkerize the whole lot. In conversation with Bill we're calling this a XM3 "inspired" build. Still looking for a "correct" SN action for a proper M40XM3 build (figure if you're going to go through the trouble, at least start with the right parts).

This one though will send five rounds of FGMM ammo into one big hole at 100-yards. Have not tried handloads yet. Scope in the pic is just an ole Nikon - will put some more appropriate glass on it when it comes home.
