A little forging time this weekend

Not my edc, but a recent find. Have never had my hands on an original Western from before the Camillus buyout, until today. Want to refurbish the leather, but, so far have not been able to source h shaped leather rounds, so I may do a cedar scale on it. IMG_20180825_211402769.jpg IMG_20180825_211408478.jpg
 
This one came today. NOS Colt M8A1 & scabbard. I tooks the pics to show the condition it arrived in.
I'll clean it up later because some other goodies arrived and I want to go play. :s0023:

Not a knife, but not really worthy of a separate thread either.
I bought it just because I liked it and I figure that's a good enough reason.

It's made in Italy and somewhat based on a Roman axe. The blade is wrapped around the haft and I wouldn't expect it to take much abuse. The handle is Sassafras wood and it's the first time I've ever seen it used for this application.

I love the way Italians use curves. Formula cars, Ferrari's and so on. Italians appreciate the female form.
