Although, if I had any HS5, an old Lyman manual shows 115gr. SWC loads at 1100fps. Pretty snappy for the old gal. As it is, I'll have to settle for about 1000 fps with some coated 100 gr SWCs, or who knows(?) with some PPU 71 gr HPs.
Good luck finding HS-5, was my favorite 9mm powder till it was discontinued ~40 years ago forcing my conversion to Winchester 231.

Ain't it the truth! One of the few powders I did not stock up on back then. Über conservative Lyman found the perfect powder for the 32 Long, as that is pushing on .38 Spl and even 9mm territory. The chambering to .32 H&R is tempting, as it will still fire both, plus the ancient .32 S&W if any of that even still exists.

Finally got a bipod! What do you think?

Picked up my W.H Davenport Acme, model 1896, 12 gauge today. Built between 1897 and 1900.

It's just a wall hanger, but I'm still going to refinish the stock and reblue it. Looks like the recessed portion of the frame, that the barrels hinge is under, is chipped and a piece of metal was bolted to it. I may leave this "farmer repair", as I'm not planning on shooting this, it adds character.
