Well, some of these have been sitting in my living room, in a box, for decades. We finally decided to deep clean the house and I found lot's of leather holsters, lots of mags, gunsmithing screwdrivers, and ammo. Here is my proof that I had these mags before any ban. The oldest mag in the bunch is an original mag for a WWII, Nazi proofed, PPK. The newest are the Happy Sticks that are still in the package. The Beretta mags had been sitting in their packages for at least the last 2 decades.

I used to be really into guns, mostly handguns. I used to compete in Bullseye and IDPA. Then, on or around 2008, I became disabled and had to quit working. By around 2017, I was mostly bed bound. I remained so until around June of last year. Thank God for the VA. I've been getting treatment and now I'm able to run my errands once or twice a week. I feel too bubblegumty to do anything most of the week. I have genetic and auto immune disorders.

My son had bought me some guns last summer for my birthday and for Christmas. He took me out shooting for the first time in about 7 years in July. I got back into it. I have only been able to make it out to the range 3 more times since July. I hope to make it out to EEGC some more come Spring.

This is my mag collection for the 8 pistols I have, and an AR that I had more than a decade ago. I need to clean all of the Beretta mags, except for the ones that I have loaded. I also need to clean and oil my Sig mags. I have already cleaned my 1911 mags/. The Glock mags have never been cleaned, and the Happy Sticks in the packaging have never been used, so they don't need it. There is 101 mags there. 36 of them are loaded. Those are for the Glock, Berettas and 1911's.

Op, is this really a wise post and photo????????????
Well, I haven't broken any laws. Half of those mags are at least a couple of decades old. Some of them are from before the original Crime Bill in the 90's. Some of them are newer, and I have the reciepts for those all being bought before the 114 debacle.

The only ones that aren't are the ETS mags, which were bought recently when it was still legal to do so. And I have the receipts to prove that. We shouldn't be afraid. Nobody is breaking any laws here. And if it turns out that we can't take them out in public, I will leave them at home, or transport them to the range which is private property, in a locked container.

A lot of those Glocks and Beretta mags are ten rounders anyway, that I had bought for the purpose of not breaking any laws when I go up to see my son in Washington. He has property that we can shoot on.

I did have a rather big shipment of ETS mags ordered from out of state that the seller wouldn't ship, which is too bad because the mags were six bucks each. Those would have been range toys. That happened in the last few days. As long as it's legal to import them, and I can get em cheap, I will continue to buy mags every time I get paid.

I haven't see a Mesa Boogie amp in decades. I like the guitar collection too.
Yeah, depending on what comes down with M114 and its newly introduced replacement, I will keep buying mags as I can afford them. Then, if it becomes illegal to down the road, I won't do it. Then that money that I have been spending on gun stuff, will go into a nice Gibson Les Paul and a Terada made Gretsch White Falcon.

I've got two Mesa amps. An F30, which my son will be taking with him, a Mark V 25 head with a 1x12 Recto Cab and off to the right a Marshall Stack.

Once upon a time here in the People's Republic of Kommifornia, we had a little celebration that the California patriots know as, "Freedom Week." Whereas previously all magazines over 10 rounds were verboten, for one glorious week they became legal, once again, to purchase and acquire.

And acquire I did.

That's 40 P Mags for 5.56 and 6 P Mags for 308. I don't even own an AR10...yet. It was just my little way of giving a giant middle finger to the petty tyrants that run this godforsaken state.

I also purchased half a dozen Lancer mags And a dozen, or so, assorted pistol mags...which are not pictured.

That is such a beautiful sight. A big ole pile of pro 2A, anti communist freedom. I salute you Sir!

I am trying to have at least two of each platform of handgun that I want. I have two Beretta 92's, two 1911's, but only one Sig P320C and one Colt revolver, and one Glock.

I am on the path to a Blued Colt Python with a six inch Barrel as my current one is a stainless snubby. I want a Sig M17 which is the full size version of the P320 with a manual safety, and another Glock 19X with an optics cut as the one I have is a few years old before people were putting optics on their guns all the time.

How's the ammo situation in CA? I try to buy at least a few boxes of ammo every time I get paid. I still have an original box of Black Talons that I bought in California in the early 90's when I was in the military, and everyone was screaming "They're Cop Killers!" People thought they were Teflon coated, and of course they weren't. Folks thought they could defeat Kevlar, which of course they couldn't. But, now we are blessed with commonly available ammo that can defeat a vest and a trauma plate,

I usually shoot my 22's the most. I need to get a few more mags for my Browning Buckmark, but they are damned expensive. Factory ten round mags for that gun are like 40 to 50 bucks at most places. That is why my favorite 22 is my Ruger Super Wranger. Six shots. Single action, and has a 22 mag cylinder as well.

I wouldn't live in CA again. And now I won't live in Washington eilther. I'm sticking around in Oregon because of my 80 year old Mom. When she's gone, I'm outta here. West Virginia and Kentucky look like good places to retire to. I liked them when I visited. Oklahoma looks pretty good too.

This raises a fun question- if we all post photos of our mag stashes, could we then use that as the defense for "but I had them before the ban!" evidence when we all get arrested and charged after 114 goes into effect?? ;-). Heh . . .

Because a picture in January 2025 is totally proof those things existed in your possession before December 2022. Makes sense if you don't think about it :s0140:

Op, I did not question the legality of your initial post but instead the wisdom of the post. While you have a First Amendment right to express yourself, likely you like me live in States with vindictive politicians, progressive AGs and wishy-washy law enforcement. In times of unsettled litigation concerning mag bans, and other 1A restrictions, why poke the bear or give reasons for grief to be directed your/our way?

This is not to say that we can't live our daily life using the bounty of 1A accoutrements that we have amassed. I would point to the example of the colonists of Lexington and Concord who lived their daily lives but also kept powder, cannon and shot in such a manner as to not make things easy on the Crown's representatives.

The ammo situation still sucks. Background checks are still required by an FFL so you can't buy on line and have the ammo shipped to your door...unless you go get a collectible FFL license...which I've been thinking about doing but I keep hoping the existing court case on this issue gets resolved but the wheels of justice move excruciatingly slowly.

For me mags are just mags. About as interesting as showing off a pile of 9mm ball ammo. Some unusual old mag would be interesting though like a Luger drum or other unusual magazine. Probably the only slightly interesting mags I have are shotgun mags. They sure are fun for laying waste to something.
An interesting mag from the internet,
