Could have put into PREPAREDNESS & SURVIVAL as well as it could be used to get food if needed above and below water..

It belongs under the GunSFishing category.

Heard those things are really tasty.

interesting subject. A friend works for a movie gun company and they recently had a call for a gun to be used in a scene where the guy jumps in the water, fires a gun, jumps out of the water and fires a few more times. funny thing is they tried it with a few different guns - first a semi that failed because when under water the water slowed the hammer enough to cause a light strike and fail to fire. After milling some space to allow water to escape around the hammer they got it to work but it wouldn't cycle because of the water pressure until they replaced the springs. The problem that killed using the modified pistol was you needed one set of springs to function under water and a different set for out of water, and to make things difficult they wanted to film the scene in one take.

Some of those Caribbean countries pay a bounty for lion fish.

Always wanted one when I had a big saltwater tank, I think they are one of the nicest looking fish, but never wanted to deal with the possibilities of getting barbed.

Not to go all hippie on the thread, but Lionfish are going to destroy our costal ecosystems. Ask your local grocer, restaurant and fish market if they carry lionfish. If enough of us start eating it, commercial fishers will find an efficient way to harvest them. And we won't need some billion dollar federal program that fails after 5 years of screwing around and then gets covered up.
