Shooting Steel Challenge

Hello everyone. So due to the rise in cost of ammo, I've decided to start shooting steel challenge in one of the rimfire divisions. I normally shoot USPSA a couple times a month and have tried to get the wife to try. Well she's a little apprehensive about it so I have talked into at least trying steel challenge.
Today I bought a Ruger MKIII 22/45. I'm looking for a 2nd one as well for her as well as extra mags. I'm looking for info on aftermarket accessories for shooting open rimfire, clubs that hold matches, and any other tips anyone can provide. I'm not new to shooting or competing. Just new to this specific sport. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

The only local match that I'm aware of is at Tri County on the first
Sunday. LOTS of 22's---probably 95%. Lots of people, 6 stages,
major fun. Tell Nick you are new, he will get you started.

Looks like this coming Sunday is the annual "Man of Steel" match,
and it's full. Worth the trip to go and watch.

Yea I heard that Tri county is the only one. Hopefully other clubs will pick it up as well. But once a month is fine with me.

ARPC does steel on the 4th Sunday of the month, and it's under consideration at Dundee.

Oh really? Well that's good. Gives me some options. Albany is a hike but it would be possible once every couple of months

Placed 75th out of 96 overall and 12th of 21 in my class (.22 Limited). For my 2nd time out and shooting an open sights I'm happy with that
