Been doing some work on our long range shooting area the last couple of Fridays. I have berms at 460, 600, 750 and 1000 yards. Had a few minutes to try it out today. Shot 10 rounds of 6.5 CM at 750 or so yards with about a 10 mph wind at half value, 12" plate. You can just kind of see the white circle at the third berm in the middle pic. Although 5 out of 10 isn't great, I can live with it.

I'm sure we could make a day of it!Not quite my property but.... sure!
Bit of a drive for most of you though.
That's awesome!Any day at the range getting trigger time with my boy is a good day. He's a big fan of the 22 supressor. Claims it's "his now" and i'm just borrowing it. Guess i need to setup a NFA trust.
These are the good times in life right here.

You just HAVE to keep teasing us don't you?Another perfect day testing out the new range lay out. 50 degrees and zero wind. Put targets up at all 4 berms. Not real easy to see but a little better than the picture in the previous post. So I have 8" round at 460 yards, 45% IPSC (13.5"x8") at 610 yards, 12" round at 760 yards and 18" round at 1000 yards.
Started at 1000 with my 7mm. Got a couple of hits then switched to my 6.5 CM. Missed the first three shots but hit the next 7 in a row. Measures to be about a 6.5" group. Continued on to hit at all the other plates. Think I missed twice out of the next 15-20 shots at the closer plates. Good day!

Yep. The wind is what separates the men from the boys.I did go out yesterday and I did learn something...... I am not very good at judging wind speed.
Ended up hitting 5/10 with my 6.5 at 1000 but the wind was pretty tough. Ended up being 12 MOA of wind correction which is something like 125" at 1000 yards.
