I liked it and learned a few things.

Hey, those guys looked like real policemen. With black uniforms, eight point visor caps, Sam Browne belt rigs, and leather shoes.

Interesting to note the emphasis on marksmanship and not firepower of 15 round magazines. But no protective vests. The one-handed hold is gone, though, and should be.

1971 and 1974 full-sized Ford sedans noted. The T-Bird was a 1972, I believe.

The title of this video is

"Survival Shooting Techniques" 1970s Police Safety Training Film XD39694

You might have to copy the title and paste it into the YouTube search bar. Be warned - it's pretty graphic.

Police Memorial week is popular, as we remember those who've gone before and with us and did not come home.

But then it's easier to memorialize than it is to train and equip those that are still doing the job.
The other side of the coin...maintain fitness.

Always found the old police training videos both interesting and humorous.

Better watch out, that squirrel has nasty big pointy teeth!
They do indeed... :D

In any event...walking up to a shot animal with an unloaded firearm is a bad idea....
Is the animal dead...or only wounded and not in the best of moods.
Sharp teeth , horns , claws , beaks , antlers , hooves....all can make for a bad day.
