Hey, I've seen conversations about shipping firearms for transferring ownership across state lines but nowhere on google have I gotten a clear answer about what forms or proof of ownership I'll need for this.
I'm in Seattle, taking a trip down to Miami and then Birmingham, I intend to bring my SAM7 and Draco as well as some other handguns, then I fly to Oakland. Both of the Arsenal and Draco are not compliant under California's Assault Weapons restrictions, so I intend to ship them from an FFL in Alabama back to my FFL in Seattle.
When I asked about it at my FFL, they said they could do it, but they weren't sure what kind of paperwork I would need so that I don't have to pay for a second background check on guns that I already own.
Has anyone done this, or know where I might look to find out?
Much appreciated.
