My daughter and son in law are moving to Alaska, son in law is in the Army and driving to Alaska from Alabama. He has a couple of rifles and a pistol, beings as they have to drive thru Canada to get to Alaska how can he get his firearms to Alaska? Can I ship them? With 941, will I have to have them transferred to me first? What would be easiest? Any help is appreciated, daughter just called me and was wondering.

It may be different since he's Army as far as the transfer part.
But if he fills out the right paper work *prior to arriving at the border* he can travel with the long guns for sure.
And I seem to have heard something about the handgun thing being more lenient last year. Cause if you take the ferry, you don't spend money in Canada
Check the RCMP webbereneter sight,'ey?

Oh yeah he can just ship them from and to the FFLs.Find one up north to receive them
