Hey Northwestfirearms. So All my gun purchases have been either through a store or an FTF meet with a private party, and I might be making my first foray into the world of shipping guns. I came across someone who wants to make a trade with me for his WASR, and the deal is pretty much made. I just have one problem-Seeing as this is my first time with a shipped weapon, how exactly does it go down? Would someone mind walking me through it? Here`s what happens from what I gather:
1) Buy/trade for weapon
2) Other person ships to FFL I`ve provided
3) I show up at FFL when it arrives
4) Sign over everything
5) Send him what I`m trading
6) Live happily ever after
I`m not an FFL holder, so I can`t have it shipped to my door. I`m going to ask the Place I`m shipping too, that seems like a good idea.
