I might suggest just going to a big box outfitter. Black midlength Magpul handguards are probably a sure bet and would be what, $35? Probably worth it to just have your wants filled and not deal with setting up meetings/flakes

That is exactly what I was looking for, assuming the handguard is mid-length and not carbine length? What length gas system does it have?

I'm not sure because I sold the SW M&P sport a few years back and I put a magpul on it. So I can measure and let you know.
