Several events coming up next month:

Ariel, WA just North of Battleground and Lewiston, ID for you Eastern OR/WA folks Sept 6/7

We're back in Dundee, OR for those on the PDX metro West side and <broken link removed> Sept 13/14.

Sept 20/21 my home range Eagle Creek, OR (DRRC) and Custer, WA for Seattle shooters. Blackfoot and Coeur d'Alene, ID are also on tap this weekend.

All of the OR/WA events have ammo for $1.50/$1.65 per 50 for youth shooters. I believe Dundee is the only range that doesn't allow center fire so bring the AR's etc.

If you don't know what we are about: we teach fundamental rifle marksmanship skills. Everything you need to know to engage a 20" target out the 500 yards. It's the same training we used to give the GI's in the 30's and 40's.

Here's a few people who liked what they saw:

I confirmed that Dundee is the only rimfire only range - all the rest of them you can bring center fire rifles. Great opportunity to evaluate and improve your skills with a rifle.

I made a flyer for the three metro events - I'll be handing these out at the SHGS Day at the range event on Sat.

Wolverton Mountain Gun Club this weekend. 45min North of PDX. No rain in sight. Come get the same instruction the troops got back in the 30's and 40's. The fundamentals haven't changed.

Still have plenty of room for next weekend in Eagle Creek (Douglas Ridge). I will be running this event and the weather guessers are calling for another mid 80's. http://www.eventbrite.com/e/eagle-creek-or-appleseed-september-20-21-2014-tickets-9513762921

Douglas Ridge is open to both center fire and rim fire. Bring the AR and see what happens when you put 400 intentional rounds through it. The ultimate function test :)

Looking forward to another Appleseed. Just curious, is there a minimum barrel length to practically meet the appleseed firing line rules? Thinking about bringing an SBR or bullpup and the challenge of keeping hands behind the line with muzzle well forward.

No barrel restrictions. We ask that the muzzle be over the firing line and your body parts behind the firing line. If that can be accomplished, you're good to go. :s0017:
