Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Soooo, just to play Devil's advocate here......What if the senator would have been questioning about a state employee say, being is Seaside in a boardwalk café drinking a beer during normal work hours? Wouldn't we be throwing kudos to an elected official in THAT circumstance? The man never mentioned losing the job, being reprimanded or written up, demotion? Where's an ethics violation in the story?
Burdick is certainly no friend of legal firearms owners, but she has every right to make sure state agencies and their employees are operating ethically.
This took place about 12yrs. ago (or so)... and how would she have known the guy was a State ODOT IT employee anyway? They are a "faceless workforce", just like the rest of us, and not worthy of the "eliet's" "general" attention.
