What's the difference between the super grade, sporter, and ultimate shadow? Is it just cosmetics with a new finish and a different stock and price tag or is there anything with the actions, triggers, etc that's different? I need a new 338 win but most everything being made these days doesn't really fit what I'm looking for. I want something that will still accurately shoot to 300 yards but it also needs to be practical as a brush gun. No more than 22" barrel and needs open sights so I can utilize the quick detach rings, pop the scope off and dive into the thick stuff.

Will the factory barrel handle being chopped down 4" or more and adding iron sights and still shoot well? I know I'll loose some accuracy by chopping it down but is the light barrel too flimsy to be that short while spitting out a big bullet?

Thanks for the advise!
