Selling handgun to a person from Florida

I have a buyer for my handgun. He has a WAC card but his driver license is from Florida. He lives here for work but is a Florida resident. Can I sell him the handgun?

I am pretty sure you are out of luck to transfer locally. Gun would have to be sent to and transferred thru an FFL in Florida for handgun. I recently sold a handgun to a friend at work who is an Alaska state resident and had to send the gun to an FFL in Alaska to do the transfer to him. Do the right thing, you never know. Just my 2 cents!

There may be an exception for active military if they are stationed there. But I have NO idea what the rules are.

An active duty military person is considered a Wa. resident if they are stationed in Wa., and can purchase a handgun.

Hear this all the time in the shops as we have plenty of military around here.Just have to have their papers showing they are in fact stationed here..?

If he lives here for work he should have a WA driver's license. Maybe he should just get one because they'd write him up for being a state resident and not having the proper license.

Problem solved. I sold the gun to another guy with Wa resident with a cwp.
