Selling a pistol in Washington

I have a few firearms id like to try and sell but I'm unsure about to go about doing it.....i moved to Washington alittle over a year ago from iowa, i know in iowa we could do face to face transactions for long guns but with hand guns you just had to show the person you permit to purchase card and just do a bill of sale and you were good to go, I was wondering if its the same way here in Washington or do you have to go through a FFL.
