If you have some firearms you've been thinking about selling (especially scary ones), now might be the time to do it. We are facing potential legislative headwinds for firearm ownership and transfers, increasing length and difficulty of getting background checks processed and a likelihood of a slumping economy. None of these things would point to values of firearms going much higher. I have been waiting for an Obama type boost in AR values to sell off a good portion of my collection, but I don't see that happening now. During all the chaos that occured during 2020, AR prices did not rise as much as I had expected. If the State or Feds pass restrictions with no free grandfathering of existing firearms, then the market could take a real dump. High ammo prices probably aren't helping the situation either. I am not going to wait for the peak, I think it's time to sell.

Actually I've been buying recently. I've gotten some really good deals and a fair deal. Mostly 22LR, but just this week picked up a pretty nice 38 Special S&W.
I think that this is the time to sell ammo and reloading supplies, as they are being snapped up. But I've been on the buying end there, too.
I've seen lots of interesting things being put up for sale. I think the Covid has people at home cleaning house.

I just bought an Ak in 22LR! Confident or stupid? We will see! I always wanted an AK but after seeing ammo prices this year my focus shifted on not only what I want but what ammo is available at a reasonable price. I’ve always liked .22LR sure it’s one of the smallest calibers but man is that ammo cheap! Also it’s great for beginning someone on a platform without intimidating them too much! While I did buy/sell for a bit this year I think I’m finished purchasing for a little while or selling now it’s time to sit back and enjoy my stock! I don’t even think about Biden’s horrible gun bills when purchasing. If I did that I wouldn’t buy anything specially those $200 above 10 round mags. while I support the second there is only so much you can do writing to your state and local officials explaining why the second amendment is important and should not be infringed, Create a fundraiser. Other than that you kind of have to monitor the situation. As of right now unless Democrats somehow sneak a gun bill in with the third stimulus bill they have their hands full with the entire country pissed at them for not passing it faster and the full $2k Biden promised voters if they voted Democrat in the senate races. They also want to impeach Trump. A lot going on if anything I would be buying what I want or think I need to a reasonable extent. Everybody thinks and handles it differently.

No thanks, If certain firearms become unavailable then that is all the more reason to hang onto them (or buy them if there are guns u want which may be unavailable in future).

Whether for second amendment needs, personal protection, or the fact that you won't be able to buy them, those are important reasons to have them IMO. Trying to time things so you get max $ out of them is much, much, less important to me.

Right now the antis are using fear and rhetoric. But we have to make them prove it. Not every place has Portland's level of chaos. We have to not only push politicians but also figure out a way to push the courts into following the law. Especially federally.

West Virginia (or Virginia, it's early) had them shook. The anti's don't seem to have a Plan B for a lot of things. Conservative leaders tend to have no plan. If the antis can't impose their will federally I don't see how it will work. Also I am forecasting a little voter's remorse.

IMO while dems claim to be for firearm restrictions (I do believe them) I really do believe they wont push an assault weapons ban at the federal level. I think the political cost is just to high to stomach. Now at the State level thats a different ball game.

Yep - personally I bought 5 and sold 10, with one more in the shop on consignment. I've had a list of guns I didn't really want (estate buys and whatnot) and ones I did; both have been shortened.

I tend to believe you are correct but I've sure been wrong before about these jaybirds.

I recall Billyjeff the Lecher moaning about AWB costing them at least 20 seats. The balance is too close for them to p1ss people off to that level right now.
OR
Maybe after doing all they can to convince us that we'll NEED those EBRs they will ban them just to criminalize a defining behavior by their enemy.
They just stole the election in broad daylight, which is a defining behavior of Tyranny so they don't want all those angry peons as well armed as they are now.

You shouldn't have voters remorse unless you voted democrat.

I would love for people to learn from this why you do not vote for any democrat or socialist candidates , but the truth is people will continue to kick a brick a brick wall and break their toes knowing its counter to their best interests .
