It's a big leap from something some irrelevant editorial board came up with while tripping out on some especially good stuff, to reality.

They got 594 through but that one is as much of a joke as the law against harassing bigfoot.

Wow, that editorial notes that a ballot measure is being prepared to be put on the ballot in 2016 in California that will require that background checks be done on all ammo purchases. So every time you would want to buy some ammo in California, one would have to pay a background check fee and go through the whole background check process.

But this proposal in Washington is even more scary. It is dramatically worse than California's Assault Weapons ban. For they are actually talking about banning POSSESSION of Assault Weapons and high capacity mags. Not just banning future sales and transfers, as they did in California.

That means gun confiscation.

Has the state of Washington really turned that far to the left???? Are Democrats in full control in Washington too? Sounds like you need to elect some more Republicans.

Think about this; The Supreme Court has not and probably will not up hold the laws "Shall not be infringed" that were written. WE lack the will and the courage to stand and fight. Only when its too late will we finally do something and we will surly die while trying!
The NRA has had the power of lobbying to have these laws taken up in challenge by the Courts, yet they have not done so, Why? Our Sheriffs have the power to defend and uphold the laws that protect us, yet they have not challenged the court to decide on the power of the law! When will some one Force the Supreme Court to uphold our Constitution?

I learned long ago that you have to be careful about believing stuff being circulated on the Internet. Internet hoaxes have existed since the web came about. New ones pop up every day.

I've never honestly understood the psychology of why people would put so much effort into spreading stuff like this. Especially taking the time to create an entire hoax website. I guess that they get some sort of bizarre pleasure out of tricking people, and making them look foolish.
