Ehhh....

Looks like a murder. His actions are indefensible one after another and it sucks because it fuels the far left media frenzy that frames that this is what gun owners are like. If we don't condemn gun related criminals to try to defend gun rights, we just make it easier for them.

Maybe it is just that it's early, but I'm kind of sick of criminals getting off with a slap in the wrist and people who are forced to become their own police officers as the city defunded their police get put away for life.

It's as if a DA somewhere realized there is no money in arresting criminals and suggested they pull resources and watch as those that have money take justice in their own hands. Then profit once again.

It's always been this way. Police aren't saints in the matter. They get privileges from the courts in exchange for carrying out their orders.

So how do you guys reconcile the fact that the WA state constitution says that you can use "reasonable force" to protect your property or the property of others? What level of force would be considered "reasonable"? A punch, a bat, a taser? If nothing is go in to be considered reasonable, have the stones to just come out and say, "you don't have a right to protect your stuff…"

The guy (thief) stole the radio and messed up the ignition switch then ran away. Chasing him down and shooting him to death does not seem "reasonable" to me.
Your mileage may vary...

<Sigh>
As has been seen for decades what the law says on a piece of paper means NOTHING. If you end up in front of a black robe you can wave that paper in the air all you wish. What the black robe says is all that matters. Is this "right"? No. Is it the real world we all have to live in? Yes, sadly it is. There is the way I wish the world was and the way it really is. So bottom line? If someone shoots someone talk with a lawyer not the Police. What the law and your rights say means nothing then. If someone lets there mouth get them in a bind they may well still win years later. If they are sitting in jail for years not sure how great they will feel to win years later.

Didn't know Washington has a gun registry?
They do not call it that but yes we do. If you ask about it the answer you will get will probably by a flat out lie. Because they do not call it by that name does not change the fact that we have a de facto registry . We do not YET have it where you can not legally own a gun that you did not "register". If you buy one in this state at an FFL the info is there and does not ever go away.
