I am amazed at how this guy thinks! I wonder why he doesn't move to Venezuela and experience Chavez's lifestyle.

CARACAS, Venezuela — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is grateful that actor Sean Penn has defended him against his critics within the U.S. media. In an appearance on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" last week, Penn slammed Chavez critics who refer to the socialist leader as a dictator.
The Oscar-winning celebrity noted that Chavez has won repeated elections and suggested that media critics who call him a dictator should be jailed.
He says that "there should be a bar for which one goes to prison for these kinds of biases."
Penn has visited Chavez several times and frequently defends the president's leftist political policies.
Chavez welcomed Penn's comments Wednesday and thanked the actor for standing up to his detractors.

It just goes to show that there are nut jobs on both sides. I would guess that most liberals cringe when he starts talking.

Soooooo, let me get this straight. Journalists that do not report favorably on a leader should be jailed. Kinda sounds like a dictator's position.

I am sure that the irony of his stupidity is completely lost on him.

Why doesn't everybody who hates the foundations of this country go live somewhere else. Penn can go live in Venezuela. People who think health care is a right can go live in Canada. People who want Socialism/Communism can go live in China, Cuba, or North Korea. If you want the right to work hard with the possibility of failure or great success and believe in taking care of yourself and living your life as you see fit then you can be an American.

Any infintesimal respect for Sean Penn that I might have had for him, ended after about the first five minutes of 'Milk'....one of the few movies I just couldn't get through.....

Funny, and sad. I'd really liked the Into the Wild Movie (One of my favorite books)
But yeah, he's a moron. That's enough said on that though.
