Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Tip: if you want a variable power Scout Scope with sufficient eye relief, look at pistol scopes.
Unfortunately most pistol scopes (except maybe for Weaver, have a minimum power of 2X. Also unfortunate, Leupold "Scout Scopes" have insufficient eye relief.
Buy the cheap Vortex 2-7. I have one on my 1895SBL and it does fine. It's not the best scope in the world, but for the money and the Vortex warranty, it's tough to beat. I also tried the Burris Pistol Scope prior to the Vortex. I didn't care for it much. I sold it to a buddy who owns the same gun and he loves it. Good luck in your search. If you have a particular model in mind, let me know. I'm a small dealer and can provide very competitive pricing on most brands.
