Thanks for the heads up. That could potentially have some serious repercussions for many different agencies. Beyond ATF, I would wonder what impact it would have on federal financial regulatory agencies.

If the court overruled Auer or Chevron this would be huge. Rather than directly overrule those decisions I expect they would adjust the deference standard to restrain agency rule making while giving lip service to stare decisis.

I don't know, as that will go against their belief system. Ginsburg and her activist ilk on the court are all for Big Daddy Govt controlling every aspect of our lives and that won't work without the un-elected leftist bureaucrats (who know better than you, what's best for you) running things................

That's very true. However, they also have the ability to be incredibly short-sided... making rules to benefit their current situation with nary a thought to how they'll be effected when the power seat shifts.

For leftists, central planning, regulation, surveillance, and control are their natural state... tough to overcome one's nature.
