What DSAPT9 said is pretty right on! Boise has gone from a gun tolerant culture to one that gets a constant barrage via media presenting the negative aspects of guns. Lots of changes have occurred in and around Boise as it has in the rest of Idaho. BUT, having lived in Britain (Scotland) and other states, Idaho is the place that is becoming a haven for gun ownership. Could it be the majority of us (Idahoans) do like and appreciate the ease of ownership? All my Scottish relatives love to come to America, especially the ones that like to shoot!

ONE gun-related death per 400,000 people in the year 2011. This includes suicides, accidents and inter-gang-related shootings.

Sure doesn't sound like Chicago or Detroit, does it? Somewhere I read that there have been 160-gun-related deaths in Chicago since 1 January.......

BTW, down here in England, FOUR people have been killed in Birmingham since October 1st last year. THREE were gang-related, and the fourth one, involving an Asian businessman, was a hit.

Birmingham is a city of some million+ inhabitants.

But the problem is no one wants to enforce the existing laws in Chicago. Obama has the lowest prosecution rate of any recent president as it relates to federal firearms violations...

He should use his pen and phone to enforce those laws for a change... Just sayin'
