scoping a sks

Hi all i have just put on a ncstar tri-mount dust cover on my sks norico and am looking for ideas on optics.

thinking of putting that walmart 60 dollar center point on for now.

what are your recommendations on scope power and optic reticules?
also might be looking at putting a cheap dot sight on it for kicks.

so ive put on that center point scope. it looks pretty good on the gun. the lens clearer than i thought itd be. shoots straight so far and keeping 0. although i havent been able to shoot past 30yd. i need to get it out and properly sight it in.


saw a pretty nice tact sight for 70 at big 5. and a red dot for 39 at wally world.
