Depending on what your intended use is.. sure.

Consider a illuminated dot or reticle on the 4x.... or a red dot. Far quicker on target for critters.

Frankly, a 2-7x is a favorite for .22LR and similar trajectories.

Fixed power or red dot. Either or, the lighter the better. That gun is already heavy.

How far you planning to shoot?

I'm a big fan of reddots on pistol caliber rifles and bush gun's, I have no problem shooting to 150 yrds with my .44 mag rifle with an Aimpoint sight. K7gaUTQ.jpg

Thanks for the responses.

I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8, and a Swampfox 1-10, (<<-----Heavy, Bulky) and the option of a red dot.
Distance, I don't know. 150yds or so?
I was thinking something reliable, but simplistic.
No real need for having adjustable turrets like the above mentioned.
I also have a Redfield 70E-T Peep, but would need the receiver drilled for it. I'm not sure about going that route.

150 yards with a red dot is very much within its capability.

Leupold makes an extremely lightweight fixed power scope. That would be my other recommendation.

I have a Leupold VX-R 2-7x33, I remembered I bought about 5 years ago.
I used it for a short time on an AR build, then bought an Aimpoint.
It's a little "large" in tube size.
