Bummed about what was done to this rifle..
Picked up a 1940 AX German Mauser; large ring and Long action.
Barrel was shortened, rear sight base removed, sporter stock installed and a side mount rail for scope is on it.
For a hunting rifle it's still nice.. BUT.. sacrilege in my opinion.
Anyhow, I am having difficulty finding a side rail to top scope adapter for it. Seems to be about an 8mm rail.
Found a pic on the net that appears to be what I'm looking for.
Might be a long shot but thought I'd check here.
