School security bill blocked by democrats on the senate floor

I guess they were just joking when they tried to sell the public on "if it only saves one".

Republican Ted Cruz proposed the school safety act, but was blocked by Senator murphy. Stating, "This isn't real. This is a tv show. This is click bait. This is theater. This isn't an actual attempt to pass legislation,"

Money for the bill was to be funded by unused covid funds.

The bill included some requirements for the schools to be able to qualify to recieve those grants. Namely:

1. Parents with children under 19 be informed if their child meets with a school mental heath professional and be allowed access to their childrens records.
2. That the school not teach or include Critical Race Theory school programs.
3. Lastly, to not advocate for abortion or abortion services in any form.

Mind you, we're taking minor children. The impression being though that the democrats would be unwilling to give up those indoctrination practices and cutting out parental rights at the expense of school safety.
