Its almost like the same strategy we had in Afghanistan. Fight what you can see but influence the next generation to pick up a Pen instead of a RPG or rifle. You may pull few here and there from the current fighting you but surely you can influence enough of the up coming gen that instead of operating at a tribal level insurgency they can get more diplomatic and take to schools for higher education and setting better standards for when they eventually grow and have kids to continue on. Now flip side that instead of war torn nation its a developed 1st world nation with a growing party leaning towards authoritarian and a social media device attached at the hip vs a six shooter from the old west.

Groom enough kids to be afraid of even wanting to learn about a gun let alone touching one, the sight alone sends pre-set messages through the brain to register as BAD so associate it with how quickly can we get rid of BAD thing and how?
Kids aren't dumb they're just highly exploited by either side. Case in point, eat your veggies, light out by 9pm, go to school then college, get a job and move out? now replace those or add in addition to remove guns, restrict ammo, punish law abiding or criminal and eventually BAN outright since they have little to no interest in them to begin with it will not phase them.

They may not be able to vote yet, but I guarantee that kid will grow up remembering this and applying tons of passion to removing said things once becoming a politician themselves. Its not just a here and now battle its a ideology. You can't fight ideas with bullets.

Going with all this as mentioned above, lowering voting ages, no voter ID required (so anyone even the dead can vote or out of state/nation - illegals) demographics change. Most 2A folks want to be private and left alone. Most democratic/liberal are more openly social on matters hence all the social programs they've instituted via taxes we all pay for. They aren't afraid to get out and be heard job or jobless in school out of school it doesn't matter. Its a unified body that'll operate as one to spearhead for change under democracy. Its why they've won the social front of things and gotten to the point you get vilified either by peers/employment/courts/media.

I think it's too late. Kids are pretty much groomed already. Catching some of the last story where the non-custodial Dad, with the gun, got shot. All the sobbing, hugging and hand ringing going on because a couple rounds were put into a guy in the parking lot! It was over and done with. All danger had past, yet everyone standing around hugging and crying like the Hindenburg had just crashed and burned in the parking lot. It's here, I feel that the majority of kids in the cities are fully brainwashed, NOW.

I shuddered at the similarities in the way he took a depressed Germany and brought it up to a force to be reckoned with. There are just too many similarities between his building of an empire, and what we see today in our schools. And on the floors of our capitol buildings.

The minimum wage, children indoctrinated to be fearful of anything fire arm, the promise to the workers they will have everything they need to live happy safe lives if they will follow the "party".

I've seen a split in women at around the age of 28-30 who react different to those below that age when shooting for the first time. Below 28 they seem to have a physical reaction. Tremors, shaking and then relief and realization hits in and they laugh and start to enjoy the shooting session. Slightly older and they skip the physical reation thing.

Most young guys it seems the environment they are from makes the biggest difference. I've never seen the physical reaction with guys of any age but if a guy doesn't like it, he'll usually hand it back after a few shots.

All this is to speak on the conditioning currently being pushed. Kids are learning and leaning far to the left because it's all they are getting. What are conservative leaning people offering young people that they want? We want to prorect and shield them while the left tells them they are the same as adults and praise their alternative thoughts & behaviors.

Well this is what I sent to all of Oregon's Senators both dem and rep.

"I don't know how to express in words the extreme injustice and prejudice against law abiding citizens the proposed bill SB 501 is. There is nothing sensible or common sense about it. For years gun control advocates have always claimed they are not coming for our guns. This quite clearly comes for people's guns and turns them into criminals with severe penalties, fines, and jail time. It requires gun owners ether turn in or destroy their legally obtained property, a complete violation of both the Oregon and United Sates constitution. The Article I Section 27 of the Oregon constitution states "Right to bear arms; military subordinate to civil power. The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence [sic] of themselves, and the State, but the Military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power[.]"

SB 501 would ban practically every single modern firearm that people use for self defense because it bans magazines over 5 rounds thus violating the Oregon Constitution. That means every modern semiautomatic handgun, rifle, shotgun, and even most revolvers(that hold 6 rounds) that people use for self defense, hunting, recreational sports shooting, and competition would be illegal.

If law enforcement deems it necessary to carry 15-17 rounds mags in their duty sidearms as well as have AR-15 patrol rifles with 30 round mags at the ready in their patrol cars to defend themselves against dangerous criminals then so do law abiding citizens for defense. If law abiding citizens are to be limited to only 5 round magazines, then so should law enforcement. The Oregon constitution is clear after all, the people have the right to bear arms for defense of themselves and the state. SB 501 would violate that right.

Also SB 501 would require a permit to purchase firearms and as well as background checks on ammunition. To say this is ridiculous and unconstitutional would be an understatement. We already have universal background checks an all firearms purchases in Oregon because of SB-941. Requiring a permit to buy a firearm is pointless because you already need a background check to buy a gun in the first place. This violates the Oregon constitution because it forces citizens to ask permission from the state to exercise their constitutional and natural right to self defense. To need a background check on ammo is even more ridiculous because you can't buy a firearm without a background check in the first place.

And if that isn't enough SB 501 would limit us to only 20 rounds a month. I have to wonder who thinks this stuff up? It would be laughable if it weren't for the fact that it's being taken seriously. At only 20 rounds it would be virtually impossible for people to practice, get training, and be proficient with their firearms. This is so draconian that it wouldn't survive a lawsuit.

This bill was written by rich politicians who live in $1.5 million homes in gated communities who don't have to worry about needing a gun to defend themselves from criminals. They are unable to relate to the average citizen in any way and they arrogantly believe they know what's best for us. Most likely they never even shot a gun in their lives as evident that they know nothing about firearms or how they operate. Worst of all they use the input of underage teenage kids who are non eligible to influence legislation or vote. These same politicians believe a 18-20 year old shouldn't be allowed to buy a rifle, but they will draft legislation from the input of 14-16 year old kids on gun rights. A bit ironic isn't?

I know first hand from personal experience that there are a lot of gun owners in Oregon from all political leanings. Firearms are a big part of Oregon's culture. There are a lot of liberal democrat gun owners as much as conservatives gun owners and SB 501 will anger a lot of people, many of whom are mostly likely your own constituents. The people of Oregon do not stand for unconstitutional infringements on their second amendment rights and they will not comply ether. As cases in NY and NJ point out, laws like these are simply met with mass noncompliance.

So if you made this far I want to thank you for taking the time to read my letter and I hope you vote no on SB 501 if it ever makes it for a vote. Please do the truly right thing and support people's constitutional rights."

Obviously they are in no mood for that, so we need to make a ridiculous over the top attack on things that are important to them, until they beg for peace. So what is important to the left? 1) marijuana 2) abortion 3) LGBT things 4) handouts 5) illegal immigration 6) voter ID

We need to make an all out attack on these issues, and more if anyone can think of something, and really give the left something to worry about and put them on the defensive. The whole marijuana thing should be the easiest, its already federally illegal, so maybe we can invite the feds to crackdown on marijuana in states that attack the second amendment.

No need to worry. From the times I have seen pro gun rallies the local or major media outlets don't show up. I attended today and a guy I met mentioned that a cop he spoke with thought Antifa might show up. (Edited)

Yes I corrected my mistake. Got there around 11:30 and didn't notice them. Looks like the footage was taken during the organizers setting up. And I grew up in that area, tigard.... Which is now part of Lake Oswego. Times have changed.
