Saving the Marlin Papoose

Well looks like I was outbid for the rear sight. I'll have to keep looking I guess. Anyone have any suggestions on what type of rear sight I should get. Marbles makes both a notch rear sight and a peep style that they call the bullseye.

That's the style of case I wish the ruger take down models came in. I can't stand the ruger case. It's too big or too small.

Whats the range and accuracy of the red dot? Ive seen this on ebay and its affordable Wide View Airgun Rimfire Crossbow Red Dot Sight Scope | eBay

I'm looking to stick with iron sights. If I'm out in the woods the last thing I want to deal with is batteries for my optics. Plus I want to keep the weight to a minimum as this will be joining me on backpacking trips.

Make sure it will work with your rifle. It may fit but not sit high enough to work with your front sight.

Id get the front site that goes with it. I dont have either front or rear sights.

Just do away with the sites. I bought a way used one years ago that I re-did. Never could get the iron sites to line up right. Put a cheap red dot on it an bingo, perfect survival squirrel gun.
