    does anyone know if the savage Model 10 Precision Carbine is a longaction or a short?

    I'm pretty sure 10 Series are short action and 110 are long action. I'm not aware of any exceptions but I'm no expert.

    PB is right, with Savage all short actions are a "2" number designation i.e. 10, 11, 12 etc and Long actions are 110,111,112 etc. True for all models except the new edge model

    yep short action, and very nice shootin rifle right there. I am very impressed with them for the price tag.

    i had heard it was built on a long action. even know its a 10. just wanted to check before i bought one.
