*This is the last price drop before I oil it up and stash it away in the long term safe for good."

Alright guys here is a Savage Axis in .308 with a 22" barrel. Alot of people here are probably familiar with these rifles. Long story short, I bought this back in 2017 for some random project with some friends, not quite sure. Shot it a grand total of 2 times, a total of 40 rounds of Federal XM80 150g and 20 rounds of Federal Gold Medal Match 168g just to check for accuracy. Literally sat in the back end of the safe and never saw the light of day since September 17th 2017. With the regular M80 and stock trigger it shot ~1.5moa 5 shot group and ~1.25moa 5 shot group with the 168g. Pretty mediocre to be honest but again that was from 2 range trips so your mileage may vary. I have absolutely zero use for this type of rifle so it should definitely find a new home. No Accutrigger since its the original model. On here is a Vortex Crossfire II 3-18 standard crosshair mounted on a 20moa rail base from EGW with Burris XTR medium height rings. Zero rust on everything. Bolt is smooth. Honestly nothing really special here. You could spend a little extra for the newer Axis II model so I tried to price this well below the current big box store prices. This would make a solid entry gun into hunting or a backup rifle. Here's the item description from Savage if you are curious --> https://www.savagearms.com/content?p=firearms&a=product_summary&s=57233

$225 for entire setup, or $175 for rifle only.

Would you be willing to ship for a few extra bucks? I'm in PDX area.
Hey sorry for the late reply. To be honest after shipping costs you would be better served with just getting the newer Savage Axis II from any big box store. I don't want anyone to overpay for this setup.

Well that's a stupidly good deal. I'm glad you're not in Eugene, cuz I would absolutely waste money on this.
Just want to make sure this goes to someone who will put it to good use. I don't really have the time and resources to get into hunting here in WA state but hopefully this can help someone get started.

You're a kind person. I respect you wanting to give a good deal to a person who needs it.

Is the crossfire the basic v-brite (MOA) or the Dead hold BDC?
Sound Loan in Everett is also $25 for transfer. And a whole lot closer to you.
Your profile up there says everett but your zip code is Seatac. So where are you exactly?

Kind of surprised you even bothered with gold medal match ammo. The Axis are never anything but an entry-level hunting rifle. When hunting you need to be accurate but at most distances people hunt in Washington, you have about an 8" circle to hit within. within a moa or two is more than good enough at 100 yards. More than likely your accuracy probably would have been better at 150gr or 180gr which are more common hunting rounds.
Yeah and that stock trigger leaves a bit to be desired but they are still good enough for most entry level hunting.

Clarify where you are and I might be interested. Any interest in potential trades?
