Savage Anschutz 141 22LR Bolt Question

I was disassembling the front section of the bolt on my late Grandfather's 141 and found that there is no spring at the front of the firing pin. The reasons I suspect one is supposed to be there is I was watching a YouTube video of a Model 64 bolt disassembly as they appear to be the same. The one in the video has a spring on the front of the firing pin. Does anyone have any experience with these to know? I have not fired the rifle and don't want to do so until I know.

Numrich Gun Parts shows one for sale for a model 1451. I would venture that it might fit your model.

You could call them and ask if it would fit. They've been really helpful to me in the past.

I saw a 141 schematic online that shows a small spring in the front section of the firing pin. It was labeled #5 in the parts list.

Thank you for that additional information, your internet skills are a lot better than mine as I have been unable to find a schematic for the 141. Was that schematic on Numrich?

Nope, I just typed in Anschutz model 141 schematics and found a thread on an online forum discussing your model.

Model 141 doesn't have a firing pin spring on the front of the firing pin. I confirmed with the component parts list and spoke to Anschultz today. The main spring is what puts the tension on the firing pin. I was also confused when I was getting light strikes and called them. Just received new main spring and will update you if it works.
