Looking for info on an old Savage 99H. It is in 22 HP cartridge, and is in about 95% condition, just beautiful. BUT---it has a Monte Carlo stock, and I am not sure if you could order a gun from Savage like you could from Winchester, with a special stock, barrel length, sights, etc. If it is a factory stock, the value would be much greater, of course, than if it is one that has just been added on. If this one was added on, it was many years ago, since it has the same patina as the Schnabel forearm. I haven't found any answers by googling, so I thought somebody might know. Thanks for reading.

This is a decent site to bookmark for future Savage questions. Obviously not all the answers, but a good reference never the less...
