It's a classic, numbers matching, hunting rifle. This particular one has had a very long life and its exterior shows some history and plenty of cosmetic wear, but it locks up tight and the bore is sparkling!
This model has an internal rotary magazine and loaded charger indicator—ahead of its time. While it is missing the original iron sights, it's factory tapped receiver has a period correct Redfield scope mount installed. In the mount sits a Bushnell Banner 2 3-9x40 scope.
Personally, I carried this rifle during Blacktail season this year. I did not harvest a buck; they are elusive bastards. I bought this rifle locally from a widow after her husband passed pre- COVID. I have my eyes set in a new Henry and this Savage has to go so I don't dip into other pockets.
