Late to the party, but I felt I have to chip in.
I gave a great fondness for the Savage 24 and have been lucky.

I have

2 30-30/20ga

1 Stevens .22-410 (what Savage renamed to the Model 24)

1 .357/20ga

1 .223/20ga that I bought in box like new a few years ago that has a black polymer stock

1 .223/12ga that has s black polymer stock

1 .22mag/20ga that was rescued from a damp basement and is pitted all along the outside but has good bores.

I regret passing on a .357 Max Deluxe model about 5 years ago.

My bucket list includes owning one of the Valmet Models Savage had made in .308/12ga. I think they listed as Model 2400.

The 24s provide so much versatility. With my 30-30 I can take almost every game animal in my area by just carrying a variety of 20ga shells snd a couple different 30-30 loads.Hi. Wah

Fixing to sell my Finish Valmet 412 after a bunch of years. Package made up or 12 over 30-06 (scoped) and 12 over 12. Older but solid set. I've seen prices all over the place.
Just looking for a fair guess to ask.

Same set up with 4X Burris, K bar with stone, sling, boolits, tools and well used hard shell case starting at $1800, on GB now. PAX
Has that got bids? You have to look at completed auctions to really get an idea. Then adjust your expectations based on fees you will pay. I see a ton of guns up there at crazy prices that never sell. I actually know guys that put stuff up at a high price just in case someone random bites. About a 1/3 of those sales fall through though.

I see those go for more if it us a less common caliber or double rifles set.

I am not a ton of help on exact pricing. I have been watching for a 12ga/.308 set though. 30.06 might be a good compromise.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows to see what an item actually went for, but the OP was asking for a place to start. There are always variables to moving guns, if your serious you have to check out any leads and follow up. The ad I referenced was relatively current (I think) and the very first/only I looked at, had 31 pictures of the weapon set up in all possible configurations, with and without the glass, the accessories (both barrel combos, sling, knife with stone & sheath, boolits and case), many from different angles, crisp and clear closeup of the receiver apart but the barrels in the shot, all against a velvet back drop. The 412 itself was in excellent condition, the extras not so much. Effective marketing, you saw the sweet and the well-used. I didn't check the seller or his history, but it didn't look like his first rodeo. PAX

I bought my Savage 24 in 1964 and sold it a couple years ago for a very sisable profit. Now I have a Stevens 22/410 to get rid of. It is pre Savage 24. Both good guns.

You would be surprised how often I hear "but there is one on GB right now for $xxx", always with zero bids, as a reason for some inflated price. Plus, I run into people weekly who do not know how to see completed auctions on there. Some of this from people who are far from gun newbies. Locally I run into people several times a year that think it is illegal to buy a gun online. So I am never sure of anyones knowledge level.

I agree that if posting online, lots of pictures is a necessity for a good sale. On the local gun classifides I see lots of single blurry pic ads with 2 word descriptions. I am not driving an hour to 'see' if a gun is the condition I want unless it is a crazy deal. On GB it is even more important.

I've never used GB, an 03 or bought from an auction in 60 years of gun shenanigans. I have bought from unknown folks via many forums I'm on, but never directly "on line" from a vendor. PAX

I wish my local scene was hardy enough for me to find what I am looking for at decent prices. I have bought a few off state and national forums I am on, but any coming from out of state had to go to an FFL for me to pick up.

Mine is 22 mag over 20ga.
Probably my most used gun. Always have it in the truck.
It has killed enough grouse to fill the back of the truck and a few other varmits as well.
