Does anyone have any suggestions as to who could do a good conversion on a saiga 12? Im looking for a reasonably priced, experienced person who knows how to do this....Im new to the saiga 12 world and admittedly dont know much about the conversion. Can you guys help?
do you have a drill , hammer , couple punches, misc hand tools, its an easy job, I did mine in 1.5hrs and could do one now in 1/2hr....there are you-tube videos step by step how to, moderate skills required
Edit: while its apart do the bolt mod, its well worth the time and effort.....google Saiga 12 bolt mod....basically removing some material off the bottom of the bolt then polishing ....aids in cycling and inserting the loaded mag without having to hold the bolt open
I did the conversion on a Saiga 7.62 and it was pretty simple. If you have some basic mechanical skills and know how to use a drill and a dremel, you'll be fine.
I would check out Sicario on the forum. He just finished my 223 and its looks great. I haven't functioned tested it yet though, but he is real easy to deal with and charges a reasonable price. He also seems like someone who really just likes to convert Saigas.
