This is great but the 10th circuit says the opposite in Peterson v. LaCabe. I Hope SCOTUS takes it because I think they will agree with the 7th.

This isn't as bad as it seems. The court didn't say that carrying isn't protected by the 2A, only that, in the court's opinion, CCW isn't protected. And in this, it affects a non-resident, who may not have had the best case. I know Gray Peterson but I haven't spoken with him in a while.
 
Yea I know the history behind the cause for this suit. Gray was much more active when the incident happened than he has been lately. The more I think about it the more I wonder if this is a good case to appeal to SCOTUS. I still think they would rule that carrying a firearm is protected but they might just split the ruling and determine that it is a states right to determine who can carry within its borders.

Dave, do you think Illinois will appeal?
