Borrowed from a mailer I get:
"O, Canada!: In yet another example of why Americans should be grateful for the Constitution especially the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments we may cite the case of a Kitchener, Ont. man who was arrested for "possession of a firearm," strip-searched, and had his home searched by police after his four-year old daughter drew a picture of a gun at school. The girl apparently stated that her father used the gun at home to shoot "monsters." What did the cops find? A transparent, plastic toy gun that had been left by a relative. This, in a supposedly "democratic" nation that is heir to the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights? The Conservative government in Canada recently abolished the national long-gun registry, but is seems that they've got a bit more work to do if they want to live up to their cultural legacy as a free people. Americans who read this should be thinking "Thank you, George Washington! Thank you, James Madison!""
