As sad as it is to see those old cars damaged or destroyed, a number of those looked like the driver lost control (big impact front or rear) and/or construction error (fire, collapsed suspension).

I've built '68 Camaro - 500 crank hp LS3, six speed, 4.11's out back. Any power shift 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 pretty much has the tires going up in smoke. As a result, I respect the possibility of disaster every time I'm tempted to show off and, as a result, rarely show off. As with guns, powerful cars need to be used responsibly.
