It worked for me at the time, but wasnt the most accurate revolver I've owned! I kind of got TOOK on the deal but needed the gun for a security gig I was doing many years ago while in college and money was tight. Didnt occur to me at the time to find some .38 s&w to fire in it.
Passed it on to my brother-in-law who had to have it. He didnt think it was all that accurate either. So far as I know he kept it until his death some years later...
 
I have the Victory .38 S&W model that was a lend/lease to Australia. It is still in pretty good condition with a few dings, great parkerized finish with lots of stamps on it. My Dad picked up a case when he had his FFL They were cheap, but I don't remember the price. He picked out the best of the lot for him, me and my brother.

I have never shot it, but have no concerns and plenty of ammo.
