Late 70's Model 19. I don't shoot it much, but took it out to the range yesterday and it started skipping
chambers when firing fast double action. Pulled the sideplate and everything looks fine. Clean and
maybe a bit dry, but no gunk/rust/etc. Gave it a quick blast of cleaner and a light lube, still does it.

I'm guessing the cylinder stop spring is weak? Any other ideas before I tear into it?

That makes sense to me. About the only way that can happen me thinks.
Or the stop is rounded/worn?
