So, like any guy that conceals carry, I love me some Striker fired poly Framed Pistol. But there just something about a beautiful stainless steel magnum revolver. I also believe that for the price and quality, S&W 686 is hard to beat. In this video, I go indepth about my firsthand accounts and experiences with America's Revolver....

Funny thing, I love old school S&W revolvers but my least favorite are the L-frames. I wouldn't mind having a 681 just because but there are many others I'd rather have.

I don't think polymer pistols rule supreme. They are durable and reliable but not the ones I'm looking forward to passing on to my kids when the time comes. All steel semi autos IMHO are more better. As to whether Revolvers are still relevant these days I say you bet'cha. My Ruger Redhawk is my 100yd brush gun. All my single actions are old school cool and great for open carry walk abouts and my GP-100 has been my night-stand gun for over 30 years.

Out of curiosity, why do you dislike the L-Frame? I think they are phenomenal personally and love my 686. Thanks for elaborating in advance.

All great points fellow gunslinger. But don't you think steel guns are a tad bit heavy for EDC and open carrying when compared to polies?

Stop. Don't touch me there. This is my no no square

I do daily carry IWB a 40 Shield with a 357 Sig barrel in it. It's not the best gun only best for that purpose. As far as open carry lets just say I've got 29 other choices and only 2 of them are polmer. Proper holsters and belts help but I'm also 6'3" and 250 lbs so a 1911 in a belt holster just feels right.

The L Frames were a boost to durability to the lighter K frame Model 13, 19, 65 &66 but still are not rated for continuous duty with full house rounds according to S&W. Don't get me wrong, I like the handiness of the lighter K frames guns and the improvements on the L frame but if you want bomb proof, go N frame or GP100.

You really need to get different speed loaders if you're going to keep those grips, it was painfull watching you try to load that thing. Try some Pacmayr or 5star they have a little less mass which would help.

ALSO are you in the witness protection program? why the annoying blurring and whats up with the handling without gloves then wearing those annoying ones later come on your not working on a semi where your manicure is gonna get messed up or something.

I have my second 686 and my 3rd L-frame. The first was a "Plus" and I regretted selling it. Got a 69 and then traded it away. The 686 I have now for some reason doesn't thrill me as much as I remember liking the first one.
I'd likely trade it for a very nice 65.

Thank you for your input gunslinger. I wish I got the 686 plus. But I really love my six shooter. Take care and shoot safely. My friend.

I was surely looking for a Plus, but I'm dead set on a 4" barrel and I could only find a couple of 3" and a bunch of 6".
I sold mine because I bought a 10mm, which I soon regretted...
