This 6-shot, square butt K-frame revolver is configured with a 6" barrel and adjustable rear sight and red insert front sight. it has desirable features no longer found on current Smiths: It has the square butt grip frame, the firing pin is on the hammer, and there is no lock (new Smiths have round-butt frames, internal firing pins, and keyed locks that disable the firearm when turned to the lock position).
