Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Questions: Does the mag release button operate normally, with the usual spring tension? How about an empty mag - does it loc in OK? Is the locking slot in the mag ok? It might have a worn edge that is not allowing the lock to hold it. Will the mag lock if the slide is held back by the slide stop? If the mag release has been apart, was it reassembled correctly? OEM or aftermarket stocks? Some of them overhang the bottom of the grip frame and will not allow the mag to be inserted far enough. Try one less round in the mags and see if it locks. It might also be the mag spring binding, or the mag might have been assembled incorrectly.
