Hello all, I'm selling an excellent condition Model 640 Pro Series. I'm the original owner, and it has had less than 25 rounds put through it. This is a 5-shot J-frame revolver, and the only currently manufactured Smith and Wesson revolver in 357 magnum without the internal lock (there are several other "no-lock" 38's, but the Pro Series 640 is the only 357 with no lock). There is a wear mark just forward of the cylinder on the frame which looks like a small scuff (visible in the attached photo). I'm not sure how it got that, as I purchased it brand new and the mark was already there (too much of a hassle to return it and wait for a new one).
The cylinder is cut for moon clips, and three are included with the gun (It is also designed to be fired without them). The 640 Pro Series is unique in that it has dovetailed 3-dot tritium sights, giving it by far the most usable sights of any snub-nosed revolver.
I searched online retailers and gunbroker, and the least expensive 640 Pro Series I could find is a used one for $799. Paypal would be the preferred payment method. Please email me with any questions: blackhawk5150@yahoo DOT com.

A wrap-around grip would tame it quite a bit.
