Do you want it to hit closer to your POA and or do you want like big tritium sights or something?
Ammo selection (and perhaps a file) can help with the former and a good gunsmith can help with the latter.

Thanks Certaindeaf. I was afraid of that. I think I will go with a Crimson Trace. I bought the 640 to practice with. It is a few ounces heavier than the M&P 340, so I figure I can practice with the .38+P longer with the 640 than with the lighter 340. I will see once I get a CT on it and go to the range. This is fun.
