S&W 640 front sight

I just bought a S&W 640 older model with the fixed front sight. I have the S&W M&P 340 with a XS front sight. Does anybody that has the older 640 come across any option for changing the front sight of the 640?

Same as any truly fixed sight revolver.
Do you want it to hit closer to your POA and or do you want like big tritium sights or something?
Ammo selection (and perhaps a file) can help with the former and a good gunsmith can help with the latter.
There's not a whole lot of in-between.

Thanks Certaindeaf. I was afraid of that. I think I will go with a Crimson Trace. I bought the 640 to practice with. It is a few ounces heavier than the M&P 340, so I figure I can practice with the .38+P longer with the 640 than with the lighter 340. I will see once I get a CT on it and go to the range. This is fun.
