    More likely the 80's, it does not have a pinned barrel or counter-bored cylinder with was eliminated in 1982 with the model 629-1 and lasted until 1988. The 629-2 started in 1988 and in 1989 a cylinder crane was hardened and stamped 629-2E. In 1990, the 629-3 took over.

    So what -# do you have and do you have the original box?

    Regardless it is an awesome gun at a great price.
