Estonia has a problem. Something like 20+ percent of the population is ethnic Russian. Near 10% are Russian citizens, not Estonian. When Estonia was a vassal state of the Soviet Union, the latter did as much as it could to Russify all three Baltic states. Estonia got it the worst. So as a NATO member, Estonia has significant exposure to internal subversion in time of war. It could be worse, the percentage was higher in 1991 when Estonia regained independence and thereafter many ethnic Russians chose to leave.

Russia is issuing airsoft gear to their fresh troops. Helmets, plate carriers, optics its pretty bad but over 90% of casualties are from fragmentation so it probably doesn't matter too much.

I can relate, I'm ethnic Californian, born there in 1950, graduated high school in Riverside in '68
but when a Socialist government took over and forced their lifestyle on other, I chose to move in '81

Growing up we had a friend of the family (honorary aunt) that was from Estonia.
She was 16 when the Russians took over Estonia.
Her stories of Russian brutality will always be in my mind's eye.
