I am nearly 'biting my fingers' to keep from texting him how I feel about this but I am maintaining.....

I was going to say something non-political such as:

'Man, that's a harsh thing to say about somebody passing away from a horrible disease such as this REGARDLESS of what you think of them'

- But he would just start in with a bunch of BS.

A part of me wants to hate him for his despicable remark because it is so indicative of his anger and hate HE has for a certain political party - BUT it is more that that - it is a reflection of lifelong issues he has had - family, personal, social that have left him believing his only hope is bizarre leftist/dem/socialist ideals that seem to be his only direction in life.

That IS so sad when a person can't even give a person who DIED one minute of peace and while his or her body is not even COLD!

Rush's website has a LINK on it with his wife's words - transcript and a video SOUND clip of her comments.

I did not know if I would be allowed to put it up here.

PS: I did not listen to Rush for a LONG time due to my work schedule. I did listen to him on and off since I retired. I did listen to him on and off when I traveled too.

My MT husband listened to him once he retired too. My late husband listened to him on and off when he could for a few years when he was at work.

We agreed with Rush in many things as YOU already KNOW (LOL) but not in every SINGLE thing in life. MOST things though! My husband QUIT listening to some OTHER radio hosts as you know there too! He did look forward to listening to Rush when he came home from his walk/gym time relaxing in his Lazy Boy chair AND at at the rifle range too!

Being a firebrand was Rush's "brand". Part and parcel of that is stoking controversy and making enemies, which made him wildly successful and rich. If his message sticks around after he passes, so do people's opinions about him one way or another.

I think the aspect that Rush most capitalized on was mocking or caricaturing the opinions of liberals, this made him fun to listen to for conservatives and immensely popular...

The same reason that many liberals enjoy watching Saturday Night Live on television to see the opinions and actions of Republicans mocked...

Sort of a one-side-or-the-other, I do not know anybody who usually listened/watched both shows.
